Automotive technology and innovation

Automobile Engineering applies mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering to the design, manufacture and service of vehicles. This four-year B.E. programme gives students both the theory and the workshop skill the automotive industry expects.

The syllabus covers automobile fundamentals, automotive engines, vehicle design, automobile electrical and electronic systems, vehicle dynamics, automotive manufacturing, vehicle maintenance, CAD/CAM, and the electric and hybrid vehicle technologies now reshaping the sector. Learning is reinforced through laboratory work, workshops, industrial training, internships and design projects.

Eligibility and how to apply

A pass in 10+2 (HSC) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and a qualifying mark as prescribed by Anna University and the Tamil Nadu Directorate of Technical Education.

Admission is through the counselling and allotment process notified by the Government of Tamil Nadu and Anna University, together with the management quota permitted under the applicable regulations. Our admissions team will explain which route applies to you and what it involves.
