Freshly prepared meals served on campus through the teaching day, with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options and RO purified drinking water throughout.
A campus that runs laboratory sessions into the evening has to feed people properly, and it has to do so within the gap between two classes. The canteen is therefore placed centrally and runs a service pattern built around the teaching timetable rather than fixed restaurant hours.
Cooking is done on site from fresh ingredients, with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options at every service. South Indian staples form the core of the menu, which is what most students here actually want to eat, alongside a rotating set of other dishes. Hostel residents are served from the residence kitchens on a published timetable; day scholars and staff use the canteen.
Hygiene is treated as a standing requirement rather than an inspection event: preparation areas, storage and service are maintained to a documented routine, and drinking water everywhere on campus comes from the RO purification system rather than from bottles.
Two services run in parallel: the canteen for the campus at large, and residence kitchens for hostellers.

Service timings, the current menu cycle and mess rates for hostel residents are available from the campus office. Call +91 94431 50352 or write to the office.
Families visiting the campus are welcome to see the dining facilities during service.
