A single site at Attoor where engineering, medicine, nursing, pharmacy and allied health are taught within walking distance of one another.
The decision that shaped this campus was to keep everything on one site. An engineering student, a nursing student and a student of Siddha medicine share the same grounds, the same library and the same dining halls. That is unusual, and it is the most distinctive thing about studying here: the multidisciplinary exposure is a matter of geography rather than a programme on a timetable.
The site sits at Attoor, near Marthandam in Kanyakumari district, close enough to the Kerala border that a large share of students travel in daily from Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam. Teaching blocks, laboratories, the library, hostels, sports grounds and the group's teaching hospitals are all within the same perimeter.
Buildings are laid out around open ground rather than along corridors, which keeps the campus green and keeps distances short. Classrooms are equipped for projection and digital teaching, drinking water throughout is RO purified, and the network reaches the teaching blocks, library and residences alike.
Everything a student needs during the working day sits inside one perimeter.
